The under-$25 desk, without the 17-item sermon
A short list you can finish. Not a shopping dare dressed as a dermatologist.

Every September a list appears with seventeen products under twenty-five dollars and a promise that dermatologists 'actually recommend' all of them. Dermatologists do not recommend seventeen things. They recommend sunscreen, a bland cleanser, and that you stop picking. This is the version that fits in a bag.
Water, then a door
The Ordinary hyaluronic 2% + B5 is still the cheapest honest hydrator if you put it on wet skin and seal it. COSRX snail if you like slip. Anua Heartleaf if the brief is redness, not glow. That is three bottles. You do not need a fourth hydrator until you finish one.

The Ordinary · Skincare
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
Water, with a diploma.

COSRX · K-Beauty
Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
The viscous classic. Still the one.

Anua · K-Beauty
Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner
The toner that made soothing a search term again.
Acne, treated like acne
PanOxyl 10% is a wash, not a personality. Short contact, night, bland cream after. Peach Slices dots are hydrocolloid bandages for the spots you will otherwise excavate. The Ordinary glycolic 7% is two nights a week, not a hobby. Do not stack all three in one shower like a dare.

PanOxyl · Skincare
Acne Foaming Wash 10%
The 10% wash that does not bother being elegant.

Peach Slices · Skincare
Acne Spot Dots
Hydrocolloid, without a twelve-dollar brand tax.

The Ordinary · Skincare
Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner
The seven-percent that taught a generation acids.
The sun, twice
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer 70 for the bag. Blue Lizard mineral 50 for necks, kids, and the week after you burned. EltaMD remains the face if you will spend forty. If you will not, these two still count as sunscreen, which is the only anti-aging product that is not a story.

Neutrogena · Skincare
Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 70
The drugstore SPF you will actually reapply.

Blue Lizard · Skincare
Sensitive Mineral SPF 50
The bottle that turns blue in the sun, and still gets used.
Lips, one job each
Laneige at night. NYX Fat Oil if you want the camera. Kahi stick if you want one object for mouth, cheek, cuticle. Mario's rose spray is a mood, not a treatment — twelve dollars of aloe and theatre. We left the extra lip oils in the drawer. You can too.

Laneige · K-Beauty
Lip Sleeping Mask
The overnight lip that started a thousand dupes.

NYX · Makeup
Fat Oil Lip Drip
The $7 gloss that made luxury look late.

Kahi · K-Beauty
Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm
The stick you put in a bag and actually use.
A budget routine fails when it becomes a second catalog.
CeraVe vitamin C if you want brightening without a ritual. BIODANCE if you want overnight without a greasy pillow. Shop the buttons — AnikaGlow may earn a commission; you do not pay more. Finish a bottle before you buy its cousin.
Shop buttons go to a specific Amazon product page. They are editorial — we do not currently earn commission on those clicks. You are viewing Amazon.com. How that works.

- The Saturday-out desk: SPF 70 for the long day, a green-tea daily for Monday, a berry tint for lunch
A dry-touch SPF 70 for a weekend spent outside, a light green-tea sunscreen for the weekday desk, and a ten-dollar Korean lip tint for the bag. Not a press-step, first-care, or balm-step reprint.
- The first-care step: ginseng serum before toner, then a rice SPF
A prestige first-step serum on just-cleansed skin, a low-pH refining toner for texture nights, a rice SPF 50+ for the commute, and a seven-dollar lip oil for the bag. Not a press-step, balm-step, or oil-step reprint.
- The press step: a prep toner by hand, a light cream, a matte SPF
A hydrating toner pressed in with the palms, a niacinamide-centella cream in a tube, a beta-glucan SPF 50+, and a low-dose retinol for two nights a week. Not a balm-step or oil-step reprint, and not another exfoliating toner.
